We need to realize the social responsiblity we bear vis-a-vis our homeland first, the poor and destitute families second, and ourselves. We need to understand that our role in this relationship is not charity or volunteer work – rahter it is inevitable. In a society like ours where 40% of the population are under the line of poverty, without shelter, sanitary drainage, clean drinking water, job opportunities, healthy nutirition, good healthcare, or appropriate education for the family members, it is unavoidable that this society explodes. As such, this social responsibility of all the members of community towards active participation in the development of the society becomes momentous. Therefore, this work that is dubbed as charity or volunteer work in many countries is first priority in our country.
